A New Year to *Challenge Yourself*

A new year is coming up and you may have heard about the last challenge I did, "8 weeks to a better you." I really liked the good habits it was helping me form, including reading scriptures, doing more service, journal writing and of course eating more fruits and veggies & overall being healthier. It was a fun challenge and super rewarding! You will love the way you feel! It has a few new things added this time and a new challenge starts January 3rd.


Anybody wanna join in and see if they can get a cash prize? There are also weekly prizes and I think it's totally fun! I even made some new friendships. An 8 year old boy even did it last time.  It's a cool family thing to do! It got hard towards the middle last time for me, but I was still in the running for the runners up drawing. But this time I'm going to try my best to stick it out and hopefully get perfect points. I want that cash prize dangit & I love the way I feel when I'm doing it all!! I think it would be so fun if any family want to join in, we could check on each other to see how we are doing and maybe all of us can get a cash prize and of course you will definitely feel better! Laub Family Christmas Party

Hey Everyone, Just wanted to let you know that we have now decided on a time for the party...it will be at 6:00 p.m. UTAH TIME on Tuesday the 21st. You are welcome to show up whenever that day, but the actual eating and party will start at six. Please have your food at the house/prepared by six. 

Also there has been a lot of talk about the ornament exchange...most people would like to drop the idea and do something else. But its seems some have already purchased their ornaments. So we will do it this year and maybe mix it up a bit and then find something else for next year. So control your desires to go and buy ornaments 6 months in advance because as for 2011, its over. 

Moving on....Here is a list of the assignments people signed up for just as a reminder.

Feel free to bring whatever your little heart desires. hint: kims caramels... or some hard candy, molasses or taffy that grandma leavitt used to make. yum... mostly the molasses... any other requests, lol.

Bartletts Thanksgiving

This is the first year that we have broke away from the family and had our own thanksgiving. You all were missed but we had a great time. We cooked our turkey on a rotisserie and it turned out good. Our pomegranates went moldy so we didn't get to eat salad which was extremely missed. But everything went good and we had a great weekend. Just thought we would share it all with you.

 Yes, Nicholas is being a dork...as always.

Christmas Party

The Christmas Party is fast approaching!  It will be at Erica & Nick's House in Kanab on Tuesday, December 21.  I guess a few things we need to discuss is the Time, if we need to bring anything "food wise" and if we are doing the ornament exchange. Cousin present exchange and brothers/sisters exchange lists have been e-mailed out.  Anything else we need to know or that needs to be discussed??  Leave a comment here.

We are planning a get together at Pizza Factory in Washington for this Saturday, Sept, 25 at 6 pm (NV Time) 7 pm (UT).  We might as well celebrate the September Birthdays and it will be so fun to finally get together.  We hope everybody can make it! Let's do this more often Everybody, what do ya say?

Calling all Family....

We'd all love to hear from each other.  I know half of the time we don't ever know what's going on with each other.  We all have busy lives and it's hard to keep up sometimes.  Some of us do have our own personal family blogs.  But, this is a way especially for those of you who don't to take advantage and use it!  I know we all love to be updated on what is going on.  If this is the only way we can be a little close as a family then so be it!  IT'S TIME! To work a little harder to be the best family member we can be.  We can't just have some be involved and do updates and such, we all must try or eventually it will just stop again all together.  If you don't have anything to update about...fine, but try to when you can. 

Let us know how your summer has been, what's going on with your families, accomplishments, trials....anything.  We can't help eachother out unless we know.  Let's plan family events this way and other things if possible.  Use it to our advantage, technology can be great for this but only if everybody is involved.  Remember to click on the other family links every once in a while to stay updated on everybody else.

Piano Recital

The end of another school year.....

The end of the school year is coming!  The kids have been busy and have been doing some exciting things! Alley had her first Triathlon and Ashlyn graduated from Preschool!  You can see all about it if you'd like on our personal blog
